Beispiel: Drei Jogger laufen auf einen nicht zu kalkulierenden Abgrund zu und beginnen hitzig darüber zu diskutieren, wie tief der wohl ist. 

Einer hechelt, dass ein Sturz nicht zu überleben ist und man lieber stehen bleiben sollte. Der Andere sagt, dass alles schon nicht so schlimm sei und irgendwo ein Ast sein wird, an dem man sich festhalten könne. Der Dritte möchte über einen noch zu diskutierenden Kompromiss abstimmen lassen.

Ihr Lauftempo verringert sich unwesentlich. Was passiert? 

Sie erreichen die Abgrundkante immer noch in Laufgeschwindigkeit und schauen – in den Abgrund. Der Diskutierer diskutiert immer noch und der Verharmloser ruft, dass er jetzt Newtons Gravitationsgesetz überprüfen wird. Was ist mit dem, der zuvor die ausweglos scheinende Lage erahnte? War die Entscheidung der Grünen, Annalena Baerbock zur Kanzlerkandidatin zu küren, eine Fehlentscheidung? Eine Frau als Kanzlerkandidatin zu nominieren, während die beiden anderen Kandidaten (CDU / SPD) männlich sind, schien ein guter Schachzug der Partei zu sein. Deren ungewöhnlich hohe Geschlossenheit und Einigkeit war nicht nur bemerkenswert, sondern bei der Diskussions- und Debattierfreude eher unüblich. Die Umfrageergebnisse für die Grünen waren auf dem höchsten Hoch.

Dann kam der Einbruch der Umfragewerte, nachdem diverse ‚Unstimmigkeiten‘ mit der Kanzlerkandidatin {nachgemeldete Einnahmen / Copy-paste im Buch, usw(?)…} in Verbindung gebracht wurden. Metapher: Wurde da zu Anfang ein Kleintier in das Dorf getrieben, und verließ schlussendlich ein Elefant das Dorf? Alles medial aufgebauscht? Das zu beurteilen bedarf grundlegendes Faktenwissen von Experten. Das Problem ist und bleibt grundsätzlich, dass so gut wie immer etwas hängen bleibt – im Negativen. Realistisch gesehen bedeutet das, dass die Kandidatin ‚angeknockt‘ ist. Das hochgelobte Ziel und die entsprechende Zustimmung sind auf das Mittelmaß geschrumpft. Was nun? Eine Gretchenfrage.

Bleibt sie und sitzt das aus, dann ist das Kanzleramt nicht mehr in greifbarer Nähe. Denn… dann wird alles auf den Kopf und den Prüfstein gestellt. Wo gesucht wird, da wird auch was gefunden – eine alte Weisheit. Im Konkurrenzkampf ist das kein Vorteil, sondern ein gefundenes Fressen für die gegnerischen Seiten/Parteien. Welche Reaktion ist also logisch und in dem Zusammenhang von der grünen Parteil zu erwarten?

Wird die jetzige Kanzlerkandidatin -wie auch immer- gekippt oder kippt sie sich selber, dann gilt sie als angeschlagen und als mögliche Kanzlerin nicht belastbar. Bleibt sie, dann siehe vorherigen Anschnitt…

Also: Aus meiner Sicht ist die Weitergabe der Kanzlerkandidatur an Robert Habeck aus genannten Gründen logisch und mit der erhöhten Aussicht auf Erfolg … ja, eben nur logisch. Das wäre eine große Geste, die den höchsten Respekt zollt und bei dem Alter Baerbocks kein Ende ihrer politischen Karriere. Nicht nur an sich zu denken, könnte ein Joker für die Zukunft sein.

Was the Green Party’s decision to nominate Annalena Baerbock as its candidate for chancellor a bad decision? Nominating a woman as candidate for chancellor, while the other two candidates (CDU / SPD) are male, seemed to be a good move by the party. Their unusually high level of projectile-headedness and unity was not only remarkable, but rather unusual given their enthusiasm for discussion and debate. Poll results for the Greens were at their highest high.

Then came the collapse of the poll ratings, after various ‚discrepancies‘ were associated with the chancellor candidate {reported income / copy-paste in the book, etc(?)…}. Metaphor: Was there a small animal driven into the village at the beginning, and finally an elephant left the village? Has it all been blown up by the media? Judging this requires basic factual knowledge from experts. The problem is and remains that there is almost always something that sticks – in the negative. Realistically, this means that the candidate is ‚knocked out‘. The highly praised goal and the corresponding approval rating have shrunk to mediocrity. What next? A Gretchen question.

If she stays and sits this out, then the chancellorship is no longer within reach. Because… then everything will be turned upside down and put to the test. Where there’s a search, there’s a find – an old saying. In a competitive struggle, this is not an advantage, but rather a meal waiting to be eaten by the opposing sides/parties. So what reaction is logical and to be expected from the Green Party in this context?

If the current candidate for chancellor is toppled, or if she topples herself, then she is considered to be in trouble and unstable as a possible chancellor. If she stays, then see the previous section…

So: From my point of view, passing on the chancellor candidacy to Robert Habeck is logical for the reasons mentioned and with the increased prospect of success … yes, just logical. That would be a great gesture that pays the highest respect and, given Baerbock’s age, not an end to her political career. Not thinking only of herself could be a wild card for the future.

Soziale Medien und Apps lenken uns permanent mit irgendwelchen Benachrichtigungen ab. Sie haben unsere Aufmerksamkeit und damit uns auch am Haken. Dass eine Korre­lation zwischen der Nutzungshäufigkeit der Anzeigen und Benachrichtigungen und erhöhtem Stress besteht, ist schon länger bekannt.

(A)Soziale Netze haben die Aufmerksamkeit der Nutzer als wertvollstes Gut erkannt und versuchen (und schaffen das auch), soviel wie möglich davon zu ergattern. Illusionen sollte oder darf man sich dabei nicht machen – Unternehmen wollen in erster Linie Gewinn machen. Kostenlose Apps sind nicht kostenlos, weil die Anbieter so menschenfreundlich (im Sinne von :‘ Wir wollen die Welt ja nur vernetzen‘) sind. WhatsApp z.B. ist kostenlos download- und anwendbar. Das Unternehmen Facebook macht allerdings Milliardengewinne – wie passt das zusammen?

Sind es ’nur‘ die Daten, die abgegriffen zu einem Profil führen und wie lässt sich das noch steigern? Ziel bei einer solchen psychologisch ausgeklügelten Taktik ist, die Nutzer und Nutzerinnen weiter an sich zu binden – sie quasi an die Leine zu nehmen. Das ist erreichbar durch das Erzeugen der Aufmerksamkeit. Je länger sich mit der App beschäftigt wird, je verwertbarer das Nutzerverhalten. Die Nutzerschaft der verwendeten App bekommt davon natürlich nichts mit. Für sie ist die App ja schließlich kostenlos. Es sind sicherlich nicht nur die Daten und die daraus gewonnenen Profile der Nutzer, sondern das tatsächliche Nutzerverhalten. Also: Wie lange wer, was, wobei, wie lange usw. macht, die Reaktionen auf Benachrichtigungen und Angebote, die Auswertung der Tastatureingaben, Wiederholraten und so weiter. Algorythmen werten das aus. In der sich permanent vergrößernden Summe sind das Datenmengen, die ein Machtpotenzial haben, das in einer Demokratie nicht existieren sollte/darf! Die darauf basierenden Geschäftsmodelle sind nicht sozial und menschenfreundlich ausgelegt, sondern das Gegenteil – also asozial. Nutzerinnen und Nutzer werden mit einer kostenlosen App geködert, die ihnen eine Kontakttransparenz und Vernetzung vorgaukelt und das -oberflächlich gesehen- auch ist. Was dann faktisch mit den gesammelten Daten und dem Nutzerverhalten ‚geschieht‘, ist vernebelt. Eine potemkinsche, also vorgekaukelte Scheinbühne mit Profitabsicht. Knallhart. Deshalb asozial. Oder lässt sich das sogar als Betrug und Hintergehen einstufen?

Wie wird es angepriesen? -> Nichts mehr verpassen, auf dem Laufenden durch ständige Informationsmöglichkeiten zu sein, zeitsynchrone Kommunikation, modernes Image usw.. usw… Das heißt in der Konsequenz, dass wir eher mehr statt weniger das Smartphone im Auge haben und unsere Aufmerksamkeit bewusst oder unbewusst darauf fokussiert ist. Beispiel: Man schreibt einen Text -wie diesen- und ping… eine Nachricht kommt rein und schon ist man abgelenkt von dem, worauf gerade das Augenmerk und die Konzentration lag. Entweder liegt dann die Aufmerksamkeit beim Smartphone – oder eben nicht. Eine Ablenkung so oder so… Schafft es die pingende App in den Vordergrund der Aufmerksamkeit und die weitere Beschäftigung damit, dann ist dessen Ziel ein möglichst langer Verbleib. Wird dann noch ein hochinteressantes Angebot dazu führen, etwas zu kaufen, dann läuft der Nutzer oder die Nutzerin durch das Zielband der App.

Sofern das nicht als angenehm empfunden und die Stirn gerunzelt wird, bleibt eigentlich nur die Möglichkeit, sich den (a)sozialen Netzen zu verwehren, die Apps zu löschen oder – der Flugmodus. Das Gerät ganz ausschalten? Wer macht das schon? Es könnte ja etwas Wichtiges oder ein Kontakt verpasst werden und man als ’nicht-up-to-date‘ oder gar als ‚Ablehner‘ gilt. Die Lösung: ‚Digital Detox‘? Schwer… denn man könnte ja was verpassen…

Allein das Nachdenken über solche Zusammenhänge könnte schon dazu führen, sich für einen selbst bestimmbaren Zeitraum aus der Smartphone-Hektik auszuklinken. Das nennt man ‚Eigenleben’…. Sapere aude…

Social media and apps are constantly distracting us with notifications of some sort. They have our attention and therefore us on the hook. It has long been known that there is a correlation between the frequency of use of ads and notifications and increased stress.

(A)Social networks have recognized the attention of users as the most valuable commodity and try (and succeed) in grabbing as much of it as possible. One should or may have illusions about this – companies want to make a profit first and foremost. Free apps are not free because the providers are so philanthropic (in the sense of :‘ We just want to network the world‘). WhatsApp, for example, is free to download and use. However, the Facebook company makes billions in profits – how does that fit together?

Is it ‚only‘ the data that leads to a profile and how can this be increased? The goal of such a psychologically sophisticated tactic is to further bind the users – to keep them on a leash, so to speak. This can be achieved by generating attention. The longer the app is engaged with, the more exploitable the user behavior. Of course, the users of the app don’t notice this. After all, the app is free for them. It is certainly not only the data and the user profiles obtained from it, but the actual user behavior. That is, how long who does what, where, for how long, etc., the reactions to notifications and offers, the evaluation of keystrokes, repetition rates, and so on. Algorythms evaluate this. In the permanently increasing sum, these are data volumes that have a power potential that should not/must not exist in a democracy! The business models based on this are not designed to be social and people-friendly, but the opposite – in other words, asocial. Users are lured with a free app that makes them believe they have contact transparency and networking, and on the surface they do. What actually ‚happens‘ with the collected data and user behavior is obscured. A Potemkin stage, i.e. a fake stage with the intention of making a profit. Hardcore. Therefore antisocial. Or can this even be classified as fraud and deception?

How is it touted? -> Not missing anything anymore, being up to date through constant information possibilities, time-synchronous communication, modern image etc. etc…. This means in consequence that we have rather more than less the smartphone in the eye and our attention is consciously or unconsciously focused on it. Example: You write a text -like this- and ping…. a message comes in and you’re distracted from what your attention and concentration was on. Either the attention is on the smartphone – or not. A distraction either way… If the pinging app makes it into the foreground of the attention and the further occupation with it, then its goal is to stay as long as possible. If a highly interesting offer then leads the user to buy something, he or she will run through the app’s target band.

Unless this is perceived as pleasant and the brow is not furrowed, the only options are actually to deny oneself the (a)social networks, delete the apps or – the flight mode. Turn off the device completely? Who would do that? After all, you might miss something important or a contact and be considered ’not-up-to-date‘ or even a ‚rejecter‘. The solution: ‚Digital Detox‘? You could miss something…

Just thinking about such connections could lead to disengaging from the smartphone frenzy for a self-determined period of time. That’s called a ‚life of one’s own’…. Sapere aude…

haben sie unsere Aufmerksamkeit und somit auch uns am Haken. Stets auf der Suche nach Zerstreuung, Neuigkeiten oder Informationen sind wir gewissermaßen permanent auf Standby und reagieren dabei zunehmend auf Impulse und emotionale Reize von außen. Mit dem Resultat, dass es uns immer schwerer fällt, den Fokus auf das Wesentliche zu lenken. Was noch nie leicht war, denn als Aristoteles die „Enge des Bewusstseins“ erwähnte, musste er sich nicht mit WhatsApp & Co herumschlagen.

Pink Floyd-Mitbegründer Roger Waters beleidigt Facebook-Chef Mark Zuckerberg u.a. als „einen der mächtigsten Idioten der Welt„. Auslöser war eine Facebook-Anfrage, den Pink Floyd-Hit „Another Brick In The Wall Wall, Part.2“ für ein Instagram-Ad nutzen zu dürfen. Waters: „Another Brick In The Wall, Part 2“ für Insta? Never! und -> „Fuck you. No fucking way„ = Waters unmissverständliche Antwort. Wer meine Beiträge zum Thema Facebook / WhatsApp gelesen hat, ahnt, dass ich da zustimmen kann … allerdings nicht in der Wortwahl.

Roger Waters, prominentestes Aushängeschild des BDS {(Boycott, Divestments and Sanctions-Netzwerks / u.a. : Roger Waters, Brian Eno, Karin und Olof Dreijer (The Knife), Nils Petter Molvaer)}, ist bekannt für seine ‚markanten‘ Äußerungen. In einem Brief an den britischen Guardian schrieben die Musiker:

„Bevor die Palästinenser nicht in den Genuss von Grundrechten wie Freiheit, Gerechtigkeit und Gleichbehandlung kommen, sollte es kein business as usual mit dem Staat geben, der ihnen diese verweigert.“

(Das ist eines der aktuellsten und scheinbar unlösbarsten Probleme nicht nur der Gegenwart – Es kann nur eine ‚Zwei-Staaten-Lösung‘ geben).

Die Organisation BDS wird nicht explizit darin genannt, trägt aber deutlich deren Handschrift. Diese versucht schon seit Jahren, den kulturellen Dialog mit Israel mit aggressiven und sogar destruktiven Methoden zu stören und zu verhindern.

Kritik mit friedlichen Mitteln zu üben, ist eines der Privilegien in einer Demokratie. Aggressionen und Destruktionen sind dagegen bedingungslos abzulehnen!

Bei einem Auftritt des Musikers in Mexiko bei einer Veranstaltung zur Befreiung von Julian Assange erzählte er eine Geschichte über ein Facebook-Angebot. Es war die Frage nach der Nutzung von „Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)“. „Es ist ein Angebot von Mark Zuckerberg an mich“, so Waters. Facebook habe ihm eine „Riesen-Summe an Geld“ dafür geboten. „Die Antwort ist: Fuck You“, so der Musiker und präzisiert: „No fucking way“.

Seit ca. 50 Jahren liebe ich die Musik von Pink Floyd und … ja – bis heute ! Für mich zählen nicht die Personen und Schöpfer der Werke, sondern die Werke unisono…!

Unabhängig davon, wer Schuld an den Kriegszuständen im Nahen Osten ist, zeigt die Abscheulichkeit der Vorgehensweisen beider Seiten die hässlichste Seite des menschlichen Aggressionspotenzials. Was da abgeht, kann Staats-Terrorismus genannt werden, weil Zivilisten auf beiden Seiten ermordet werden – also über Leichen gegangen wird. Und das mit Vorsatz. Wer da wen beschuldigt, will ich hier nicht historisch aufarbeiten, doch… ich hüte mich vor einer Parteinahme. Weltweite Autoritäten müssen die ‚Krieger‘ wieder mindestens an den Verhandlungstisch bringen, um den Wahnsinn zu beenden.

Schaue ich mir den aufflammenden Judenhass in Deutschland an, dann wird immer deutlicher, dass z.B. der Geschichtsunterricht an deutschen Schulen zu dem Themenkomplex nicht intensiv genug sein kann. Die circa sechs Millionen von den (deutschen) Nazis ermordeten Juden dürfen niemals in den Hintergrund der Wahrnehmung treten oder gar in Vergessenheit geraten. Leute, die das nicht (oder nicht mehr) wahrhaben wollen, müssen konsequent der deutschen Judikative zugeführt werden, um die Rechtsstaatlichkeit und das ‚deutsche Gewissen‘ zu wahren. Progrome gegen religiöse Minderheiten jedweder Art sind nicht nur illegal, sondern schlichtweg kriminell. Dagegen hat Deutschland die passende Antwort : Das Strafgesetzbuch.

Ich denke an die zivilen (und auch militärischen) Menschenopfer … an deren unsägliches Leid und deren mehr als sinnlosen Tod. Kein Grund rechtfertigt das, und genau das gilt für jeden Krieg – mag alles noch als so notwendig dargestellt und ‚verkauft‘ werden. Krieg ist immer auch das größte geistige Armutszeugnis, das sich Menschen ausstellen können und ein Beweis dafür, dass das Aggressionspotenzial immer noch mittel- und wohl auch langfristig das Verhalten dieser Menschheit bestimmen wird. Gewalt erzeugt offensichtlich so gut wie immer Gegengewalt und ist die Manifestation mentalen Versagens auf der ganzen Linie. Das Gegenmittel ist Sensibilisierung der Menschen mit dem Ziel einer gewaltfreien Direktive. Was für ein Traum – doch… solche Träume können Anker auswerfen….

In the ‚Holy Land’…

Regardless of who is to blame for the state of war in the Middle East, the hideousness of the actions of both sides shows the ugliest side of the human potential for aggression. What is going on can be called state terrorism, because civilians are being murdered on both sides – in other words, corpses are being walked over. And that with premeditation. Who accuses whom, I do not want to work up historically here, but… I am careful not to take sides. Worldwide authorities must at least bring the ‚warriors‘ back to the negotiating table to end the madness.

If I look at the flare-up of hatred of Jews in Germany, it becomes increasingly clear that, for example, history lessons in German schools on the subject complex cannot be intensive enough. The approximately six million Jews murdered by the (German) Nazis must never be pushed into the background of perception or even forgotten. People who do not (or no longer) want to acknowledge this must be consistently brought to the German judiciary in order to preserve the rule of law and the ‚German conscience‘. Progroms against religious minorities of any kind are not only illegal, but simply criminal. Against this, Germany has the appropriate answer: the Criminal Code.

I think of the civilian (and also military) human victims … of their unspeakable suffering and their more than senseless death. No reason justifies this, and exactly this is true for every war – may everything be presented and ’sold‘ as necessary. War is always also the biggest mental certificate of poverty, which humans can issue to themselves and a proof for the fact that the aggression potential will still determine the behavior of this mankind in the medium and probably also in the long term. Violence obviously almost always generates counter-violence and is the manifestation of mental failure all along the line. The antidote is sensitization of people with the aim of a non-violent directive. What a dream – yet…. such dreams can drop anchor….

Das wird hier keine historische Aufarbeitung, sondern die Darstellung der eigenen (kurzgehaltenen) Sichtweise auf den o.g. Menschen|Machthaber, der durchaus Positives für die Gesellschaft geleistet hat … aber bei dem aus meiner Sicht das Negative deutlich überwiegt (Details in den Medien und Nachschlagewerken). Der französische Präsident Macron ehrt ihn explizit am heutigen 5.Mai zum 200sten Todestag. Eine Formalie? Ein Tabubruch? Formalie eher nicht, da es doch einen Tabubruch mit den Vorbehalten seiner Vorgänger darstellt.

Subjektiv gesehen erschließt sich mir Macrons Geste nur dann, wenn ich sie als das ‚Nichtausklammern‘ eines Teils der französischen Geschichte werte. Nur… wenn ich die zu ehrende Person historisch und faktisch betrachte, dann erkenne ich in Napoleon einen skrupellosen, ja egomanen Machtmenschen, der ‚über Leichen ging‘ – im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Einen, der es wohl geradezu liebte, Kriege zu führen. Einen, der die Sklaverei wieder ‚einführte‘ usw.. In dieser Sichtweise wird die Zurückhaltung der Vorgänger Macrons geradezu sympathisch.

Was reitet einen Präsidenten, einem gewaltverherrlichenden Diktator und Kriegstreiber öffentlich die Ehre zu erweisen – ohne protokollarische Verpflichtung? Heimliche Bewunderung? Jemanden, der ca. 2 Millionen Tote auf dem Gewissen hat, kann in der Istzeit kein ethisch feingeschliffener Mensch bewundern. Das ist eine allgemein gehaltene Feststellung. This will not be a historical reappraisal, but the presentation of one’s own (brief) view of a man|ruler, who has certainly made positive contributions to society … but in my view the negative clearly predominates (details in the media and reference books). The French President Macron honors him explicitly today, May 5, on the 200th anniversary of his death. A formality? A breach of taboo? Formality rather not, since it represents nevertheless a taboo break with the reservations of its predecessors.

Subjectively, Macron’s gesture only makes sense to me if I interpret it as the ’non-exclusion‘ of a part of French history. Only… if I look at the person to be honored historically and factually, then I recognize in Napoleon an unscrupulous, even egomaniacal power seeker who ‚walked over corpses‘ – in the truest sense of the word. One who loved to wage wars. One who ‚reintroduced‘ slavery, and so on. In this perspective, the restraint of Macron’s predecessors becomes almost sympathetic.

What drives a president to pay public homage to a dictator and warmonger who glorifies violence – without protocol obligation? Secret admiration? Someone, who has about 2 million dead on the conscience, can admire in the actual time no ethically finely honed person. That is a general statement. Macron’s behavior seems strange to me. The question marks remain…

Es ist gar nicht mal die Angst der Republikaner vor Trump, sondern die Angst vor seinen ca. 70 Millionen Wähler|innen und deren unkalkulierbarem Verhalten. Schließlich wollen oder möchten die Senator|innen nächstes Jahr wieder gewählt werden – mit den Stimmen natürlich eben der Trump-Wähler|innen. Mit dem mächtigen ‚Pfund‘ in der Hand wird der offensichtlich kriminelle Ex-Prädident entsprechenden Druck machen. Ob ihm dann seine ach so treue Wählerschaft noch treu ist, liegt an den Ergebnissen der Politik Bidens.

Das Überstehen seines zweiten Impeachement-Verfahrens lässt den Narzissten jetzt schon wieder krakeelen. Alle sind blöd, nur er als Naturgenie hatte ja schon immer in Allem Recht. Nur – nach seiner Präsidentschaft ist er wieder Zivilperson und genießt damit keine Innunität mehr. Es wird sicherlich oder hoffentlich strafrechtliche Folgen für ihn haben – in einer Weise, in der ihm sein großkotziges Grinsen und Lachen im Halse steckenbleiben könnte. Lässt man ihn ‚laufen‘, dann wäre das ein Präzedenzfall für mögliche Zügellosigkeiten künftiger Präsidenten. Aus der Sicht war das durchaus umstrittene zweite Impeachement-Verfahren eine demokratische Notwendigkeit im Sinne der Erhaltung der Werte und der Glaubwürdigkeit einer demokratischen Staatsordnung. Zumal sich China schon für seine zentralistisch kommunistische und sich für sie als überlegen herausgestellte Staatsform selber lobt. Szenen, wie die vom 06.Januar 2021 vor und im Kapitol wird es so in Peking sicherlich nicht geben. In einem alles sehenden und kontrollierenden System wäre das auch immer noch mehr als unrealistisch.

Ich persönlich gehe davon aus, dass die US-Republikaner mit dem ‚Nicht-schuldig-Spruch‘ einen Spagat hingelegt haben. Einerseits vergraulen sie nicht die Trump-Wählerschaft, weil sie ihn eben für nichtschuldig erklären; andererseits könnte das der Beginn einer sich ausschleichenden Anhängerschaft von ihrem ‚Popularitäts-Guru‘ sein, den so mancher von ihnen nicht mehr auf der politischen Einflussbühne sehen möchte. Eine nichtkalkulierbare Abfolge. Ob die Rechnung aufgeht, falls es eine ist?

Ja.. und das Grinsen, Lachen und Feixen Trumps (immer noch in den ihm verbliebenen Medien) tut schon nur beim Zuschauen richtig weh. Jeder Gangster und jeder Kleinkriminelle wird ihn beneiden, weil er einfach mit seinem Gebaren und seinen ‚Untaten‘ durchzukommen scheint. Enttarnt und quasi überführt und trotzdem immer noch frei. Was für ein Held für sie…

Let him ‚walk‘ and it would set a precedent for possible licentiousness by future presidents. From the point of view, the thoroughly controversial second impeachment was a democratic necessity in the sense of preserving the values and credibility of a democratic state order. Especially since China already praises itself for its centralist communist form of government, which it has proven to be superior to. Scenes, like those of 06.January 2021 before and in the Capitol will not give it in such a way in Peking surely. In a system that sees and controls everything, that would still be more than unrealistic.

Personally, I assume that the US Republicans have performed a balancing act with the ’not guilty‘ verdict. On the one hand, they are not scaring away the Trump electorate by declaring him not guilty; on the other hand, this could be the beginning of a creeping distance from their ‚popularity guru‘, whom some of them no longer want to see on the stage of political influence. Every gangster and every petty criminal will envy him because he just seems to get away with his ways and his ‚misdeeds‘. Exposed and virtually convicted and yet still free. What a hero for them…

Demokraten und Republikaner in den USA stehen sich regelrecht feindlich gegenüber.

Der ‚unipolare Moment‘, also die schier grenzenlose, imperiale Machtausbreitung der USA, ist vorbei. Die machtpolitische Konkurrenz wird zunehmend größer. Die Weltpolizei USA sieht sich der Tatsache gegenüber, dass im eigenen Land immer noch gesellschaftliche Probleme (Rassismus, Gewalt, Spaltung, religiöser Fundamentalismus usw.) nicht nur brodeln, sondern offen weiter wachsen. Die Schwerpunkte in Richtung ‚Inneres‘ verlagern sich nicht erst seit Trumps ‚America-first‘ – Irrsinn, nein, bereits Obamas Priorität war die ‚innere Erneuerung‘. Das wird sich bei Biden nicht ändern. Aber immerhin im Ton gezähmt …

Die USA sind politisch in zwei große Lager (Parteien) gespalten, die sich nahezu feindlich gegenüberstehen. Jede Seite bezeichnet sich als das ‚wahre Amerika‘ und zieht klare Grenzen gegenüber der anderen. Für die eine Seite ist das ‚Maske-tragen‘ unpatriotisch, während es für die andere Seite ein Sache der Vernunft ist. Darüber im Angesicht der hunderttausenden Corona-Toten zu streiten, ist tatsächlich schwer oder nicht verstehbar. Eine Gesellschaft, die im Inneren einen regelrechten ‚Stammeskrieg‘ führt und noch keine messbaren Erfolge zu dessen Beendigung vorweisen kann, ist geschwächt und verwundbar – zum Ansporn der aufstrebenden Weltmächte. Das ist die Hinterlassenschaft eines narzisstischen Präsidenten und die höchstpriorisierte Aufgabe seines Nachfolgers – nach der Eindämmung der Corona-Pandemie.

Die Wissenschaften werden Mittel zur Bekämpfung der Covid-19-Pandemie erforschen – die Politik hat die verhärtete Stammesbildung (Tribialisierung) zu lockern und ein Einheitsgefühl zu fördern und zu erreichen. Es ist -sicherlich nicht nur für mich- absolut unverständlich, dass der Ex-Präsident Trump mit seiner zügellosen Spaltung der US-amerikanischen Gesellschaft ungeschoren davonkommt. Er, vom Stamme der gewissenlosen Egomanen, lacht sich ins Fäustchen über die unterwanderte Judikative und die von ihm offengelegten Schwachstellen der parlamentarischen Demokratie, die mehr Verstand voraussetzt als seinen Mangel daran. Wenn er in seinem Luxusleben zur nächsten Wahlschlacht wieder antreten darf (das wird er selber bestimmen), dann ist der Niedergang der Weltmacht USA vorprogrammiert. Dann sind all seine Machenschaften belohnt – dann kann er wirklich machen, was er will. Das wäre Udo Lindenbergs ‚US-Gangsterdemokratie‘ von der LP ‚Galaxo-Gang‘. Die vergangenen vier Jahre waren ein Vorgeschmack davon.

Trump- der ‚Onkel‘ des Neo-Tribalismus… Die ihm noch folgenden Republikaner und das von ihm geblendete Wählervolk sollten (und müssen) zur Kenntnis nehmen, dass die Erde keine Scheibe ist und dass Waffen nicht vor der Erkenntnis schützen…

Democrats and Republicans in the USA are downright hostile to each other.

The ‚unipolar moment‘, i.e. the almost limitless, imperial expansion of power by the USA, is over. Power-political competition is becoming increasingly fierce. The USA, the world’s police force, is faced with the fact that social problems (racism, violence, division, religious fundamentalism, etc.) are not only still simmering in its own country, but are openly growing. The focus is shifting towards ‚domestic‘ not only since Trump’s ‚America-first‘ insanity, no, Obama’s priority was already ‚domestic renewal‘. That will not change with Biden. But at least the tone has been tamed …

The USA is politically divided into two large camps (parties) that are almost hostile to each other. Each side calls itself the ‚true America‘ and draws clear lines against the other. For one side, ‚mask-wearing‘ is unpatriotic, while for the other it is a matter of common sense. To argue about this in the face of hundreds of thousands of Corona deaths is indeed difficult or impossible to understand. A society that is engaged in outright ‚tribal warfare‘ internally and has yet to show measurable success in ending it is weakened and vulnerable – to the spur of rising world powers. This is the legacy of a narcissistic president and the highest priority task of his successor – after the containment of the Corona pandemic.

The sciences will research means to fight the Covid 19 pandemic – politics has to loosen the hardened tribalism (tribialization) and to promote and achieve a sense of unity. It is -certainly not only for me- absolutely incomprehensible that ex-president Trump gets away scot-free with his rampant division of the US society. He, of the tribe of conscienceless egomaniacs, laughs up his sleeve at the subverted judiciary and the weaknesses of parliamentary democracy he has exposed, which presupposes more intellect than his lack of it. If, in his life of luxury, he is allowed to run again in the next election battle (which he will determine himself), then the downfall of the USA as a world power is pre-programmed. Then all his machinations are rewarded – then he can really do what he wants. That would be Udo Lindenberg’s ‚US Gangster Democracy‘ from the LP ‚Galaxo Gang‘. The past four years were a foretaste of it.

Der ‚Hobby-Präsident‘ hat sich davon geschlichen und sich in einer skurrilen Abschiedszeremonie in Florida noch einmal als den ‚betrogenen Präsidenten‘ sowohl feiern lassen als auch sich selber gefeiert. Wenn jemand -egal wer- einen Trümmerhaufen hinterlässt und seine Arbeit auch noch glorifiziert, dann erkennt ein denkender Mensch, dass das keine Arbeit war, sondern unqualifizierter Mist. Seine Anwesenheit bei der Inauguration Bidens hätte seine Anhängerschaft wohl als ‚Verrat‘ betrachtet. Fairness war ja absolut nicht seine Stärke. Er hat die ‚Suppe‘ hoch-und übergekocht und sich dann verpi….. Wenn er seinem ‚Hobby‘ nicht mehr nachgehen darf, dann sollen die Anderen doch den angerichteten Trümmerhaufen beseitigen. Für ihn war das alles ‚großartig‘ und ‚genial‘. Nur… da ist ja noch die Justiz. Wie ich gelesen habe (FAZ), sind Begnadigungen nicht öffentlich anzeigepflichtig. Im Klartext: Er könnte seine eigene Begnadigung in der Hinterhand halten und bei Bedarf als Joker einsetzen. Ein System, das sowas erlaubt und möglich macht, ist reformbedürftig.

Und da ist ja noch das zweite Impeachement. Wenn sich die Republikaner im Senat nun endgültig dazu durchringen und sich von diesem gefährlichen Troll trennen, dann besteht die Möglichkeit, das der kein politisches Amt mehr bekleiden darf. Mit Sicherheit nicht nur für mich wäre es das Horrorszenario, wenn diese Niete in den nächsten Wahlkampf zieht, seine Anhänger wieder mobilisiert und diesen Planeten wieder in Angst und Schrecken versetzt.

In der Überschrift bezeichne ich den Abgang des wohl inkompetentesten US-Präsidenten der Geschichte (zumindest einer davon) als blamabel. Das ist ein Euphemismus. Ich nenne nicht einmal mehr seinen Namen, der auch während der Inauguration Bidens nicht ein Mal fiel. Aus der Sicht war seine Abwesenheit schon ‚begrüßenswert‘. Er hätte gestört. Auf eine solche Bühne gehört so einer nicht. Dabei hat er vielleicht oder besser tatsächlich gezeigt, dass das das falsche Umfeld für ihn war und bleiben wird.

The ‚hobby president‘ has slipped away and in a bizarre farewell ceremony in Florida once again let himself be celebrated as the ‚deceived president‘ as well as celebrated himself. When someone -anyone- leaves behind a pile of rubble and glorifies his work as well, a thinking person recognizes that it was not work, but unqualified crap. His presence at Biden’s inauguration would probably have been considered a ‚betrayal‘ by his supporters. Fairness, after all, was absolutely not his strong suit. He boiled the ’soup‘ up and over, and then verpi….. If he is no longer allowed to pursue his ‚hobby‘, then the others should clean up the mess. For him it was all ‚great‘ and ‚ingenious‘. Only… there is still the justice. As I read (FAZ), pardons are not subject to public announcement. In plain language: He could keep his own pardon up his sleeve and use it as a wild card if needed. A system that allows and makes such things possible is in need of reform.

And there’s the second impeachment. If the Republicans in the Senate now finally bring themselves to part with this dangerous troll, then there is the possibility that he will no longer be allowed to hold political office. Certainly not only for me it would be the horror scenario if this rivet moves 2024 in the election campaign, mobilizes his followers again and puts this planet again in fear and terror.

In the headline, I refer to the departure of arguably the most incompetent U.S. president in history (at least one of them) as embarrassing. That’s a euphemism. I don’t even mention his name anymore, which didn’t come up once even during Biden’s inauguration. From the point of view, his absence was already ‚welcome‘. He would have disturbed. Such a person does not belong on such a stage. He may have shown, or rather actually showed, that this was and will remain the wrong environment for him.
