Erklärung: Eine für diesen Planeten als notwendig anzusehende Sichtweise ist die Beschränkung auf das (auch individuell) Notwendige. Das ist erforderliche Nachhaltigkeit.
Muss es immer das Aktuelle, in dieser Betrachtung ein aktuelles Gadjet sein? Jedes Jahr ein neues Smartphone oder ähnliches Gerät? Jetzt spreche ich mal von mir: Im Besitz: iPhone, Watch Ultra, Blackberry Passport SE. Was brauche ich tatsächlich? Ja, tatsächlich brauche ich die Ultra als gesundheitlich bedingten Bodyguard und das Passport als kleinen Personal Digital Assistent. Und das iPhone mit all dem aktuellen Softwarefirlefanz, genannt ‚apps‘? Apps ist das moderne Kürzel für Applications – auf Deutsch Programme. Es liegt eigentlich nur ‚rum und ist nicht unmittelbar notwendig, da die Watch Ultra eine eSIM hat. Das acht Jahre alte Passport ist ein Gerät zum benutzerfreundlichen Arbeiten ohne solchen Firlefanz.
Anwenderfreundlichkeit ist altersunabhängig auch bei Alltagsgeräten wie Smartphones. Mein Bestand ist also anteilig zu hoch. Fazit: Ein neues, aktuelles Smartphone kommt nicht in Frage, da der Neukauf prinzipiell und folgerichtig eine Nachproduktion auslöst, die prekären Arbeitsbedingungen in der Beschaffung der erforderlichen Rohstoffe fördert und gewissenlos in Kauf nimmt
Vorhandenes nachhaltig zu nutzen ist im Sinne unseres Planeten! Solange die Geräte funktionieren, sollten sie nicht als altbacken diskreditiert werden – nur weil sie nicht den aktuellen Firlefanz mehr oder eingeschränkt bedienen.
Sich an der eingangs genannten ‚Formel‘ zu orientieren, erfüllt nicht die Erwartungen und dahin gehenden Manipulationen der Hersteller, sondern setzt einen klaren Denkhorizont im Sinne der Nachhaltigkeit voraus.
Das ist gemeint mit: U=B-F

Explanation: A point of view to be considered necessary for this planet is the restriction to what is necessary (also individually). This is necessary sustainability.
Does it always have to be the latest, in this view a current gadget? A new smartphone or similar device every year? Now I’m talking about myself: I own an iPhone, a Watch Ultra and a Blackberry Passport SE. What do I actually need? Yes, I actually need the Ultra as a health-related bodyguard and the Passport as a small personal digital assistant. And he iPhone with all the latest software junk, called ‚apps‘? Apps is the modern abbreviation for applications. It’s really just ‚lying around‘ and not immediately necessary since the Watch Ultra has an eSIM. The eight-year-old Passport is a user-friendly device without such frippery.
User-friendliness is age-independent, even with everyday devices like smartphones. My stock is therefore proportionately too high. Conclusion: A new, up-to-date smartphone is out of the question, since buying a new one in principle and logically triggers post-production and promotes and unconscionably accepts the precarious working conditions in the procurement of the necessary raw materials.
Using what is available in a sustainable way is in the interest of our planet! As long as the devices work, they should not be discredited as old-fashioned – just because they no longer serve the current frippery.
Orienting oneself to the ‚formula‘ mentioned at the beginning does not fulfill expectations and manipulations of manufacturers to that effect, but presupposes a clear horizon of thinking in terms of sustainability.

Alt und Jung in täglicher Harmonie. Sowohl das Eine als auch das Andere hat seine Vor-und Nachteile. Mein Passport hat als Vorteil das, was aktuelle Geräte überwiegend nicht mehr haben: Eine physische Tastatur. Diese Tastatur ist zudem noch kapazitiv, das bedeutet, sie hat ebenfalls die Wirkung eines Touchpads. (Das habe ich hier schon mehrfach beschrieben ). Von diesem Gerät komme ich einfach nicht los, weil es sich seit 8 Jahren zum echten Arbeitsgerät gemausert hat, auf das ich (trotz iPhone) nicht verzichten will. Die Werbung für die aktuellen Phones mag noch so krass und bunt sein: Ein ‚Klicki-bunti-feature-Hipster‘, der immer das Neueste haben muss, bin ich nicht. Obwohl: Die Ausnahme ist meine Smartwatch, die Ultra. Eine offensichtliche Ausnahme, zu der ich stehe, weil dieser kleine Computer am Handgelenk für mich die Funktion eines ‚Bodyguards‘ übernommen hat. Zugegeben… die vorherige, ‚einfache‘ Watch konnte das auch annähernd und zufriedenstellend, doch… die Robustheit und die weiteren, zusätzlichen Funktionen konnten mich überzeugen, und somit bin ich ein Fan dieses Teiles geworden.
Da sind sie nun in steter Eintracht nebeneinander abgebildet: Alt und Jung. Meine ‚Spezies‘. Ein Jedes hat seine ‚genialen‘ Vorteile für mich – rein pragmatisch. OK, ich bin ein designverliebter Zeitgenosse, dem das ‚Äußere‘ weitestgehend unwichtig ist (eigentlich ein W>iderspruch insich), doch… wenn Design und Funktionalität gepaart auftreten, dann bin ich ‚verloren‘. Die Ultra hat Zusatzfunktionen, die für mich persönlich eine wichtige oder beruhigende Wirkung erzielen, wie z.B. die Sirene, die man hoffentlich nicht aktivieren muss, im Notfall aber kann. Das ist es für einen Typen wie mich, der vor 14 Monaten nach einer ‚Not-Herz-OP‘ 10 Tage auf der Herz-Intensivstation verbringen durfte, ohne sich des Ausganges relativ sicher zu sein. Und nun? Ich habe mich wieder ‚berappelt‘ und kommuniziere händisch mit einem BB-Passport, dessen Software offiziell für tot erklärt wurde; für mich allerdings die aktuellen ‚auf-Glas-zu-tippenden-Geräte‘ alt aussehen lässt und mir das Gefühl gibt, nicht im Strom der umworbenen User mitschwimmen zu müssen. Ansichtssache? Richtig, wenn es Smartphones betrifft. Sinnvolles und individuell Nützliches sind altersunabhängig. Die Watch ist dafür ein deutliches Beispiel – die Kosten dafür müssten von den Krankenkassen für Leute mit gesundheitlich markanten Problemen übernommen werden. Was für eine Illusion….

Old and young in daily harmony. Both the one and the other have their advantages and disadvantages. My Passport has as an advantage what current devices mostly no longer have: A physical keyboard. This keyboard is also capacitive, which means it also has the effect of a touchpad. (I have already described this several times here). I simply can’t get away from this device, because it has become a real work device for 8 years, which I don’t want to do without (despite the iPhone). The advertising for the current phones may be so crass and colorful: A ‚Klicki-bunti-feature hipster‘ who always has to have the latest, I am not. Although: The exception is my smartwatch, the Ultra. An obvious exception that I stand by because this little computer on my wrist has taken over the function of a ‚bodyguard‘ for me. Admittedly… the previous, ’simple‘ Watch could also do that approximately and satisfactorily, but… the robustness and the further, additional functions could convince me, and thus I have become a fan of this part.
There they are now pictured side by side in constant harmony: Old and young. My ’species‘. Each has its ‚ingenious‘ advantages for me – purely pragmatically. OK, I am a design-loving contemporary to whom the ‚exterior‘ is largely unimportant (actually a contradiction in terms), but… when design and functionality are paired, then I am ‚lost‘. The Ultra has add-on features that are important or reassuring to me personally, like the siren, which I hope you don’t have to activate, but can in an emergency. It is for a guy like me who 14 months ago was allowed to spend 10 days in the cardiac ICU after ‚emergency heart surgery‘ without being relatively sure of the outcome. And now? I’ve ‚recovered‘ and communicate manually with a BB-Passport, whose software has been officially declared dead; for me, however, it makes the current ‚on glass-to-typing devices‘ look old and gives me the feeling of not having to swim in the stream of courted users. Matter of opinion? That’s right, when it comes to smartphones. Meaningful and individually useful are age-independent. The Watch is a clear example of this – the cost of which would have to be covered by health insurance for people with significant health problems. What an illusion…
Die Medien zeigen uns im russischen Aggressionskrieg gegen die Ukraine, dem absoluten Irrsinn der Gegenwart, Mehrfachraketenwerfer, die wahrscheinlich mehr oder weniger gezielt Wohngebiete und Infrastruktur in der Ukraine in Schutt und Asche ‚legen‘. Die Wirkung ist also bekannt, nur … was ist eigentlich ein Mehrfachraketenwerfer? Vor exakt 50 Jahren war ich beim deutschen Militär (genannt Bundeswehr) und wurde an dem System Lars, Mehrfachraketenwerfer 110 SF, ausgebildet und war schließlich Werferführer. Als Solcher habe ich einige Male den roten ‚Feuernkopf‘ bei Übungsschießen auf einem Truppenübungsplatz mit dem Waffensystem gedrückt. Allein den Eindruck habe ich mein Leben lang nicht vergessen. Die Vorstellung, was da im Zielgebiet angerichtet wird, war zu der Zeit blanke Theorie. 4 Jahre später unterzog ich mich einem offiziellen Verfahren zur Kriegsdienstverweigerung mit dem Ergebnis der ‚Anerkennung‘. Damit war und bin ich ’staatlich anerkannter Pazifist‘.
Die Eindrücke und Erlebnisse meiner Militärzeit führten dann zu meinem autobiographischen Roman „Die Gedanken sind frei…“ . Aus diesem Roman zitiere ich in der Folge einige Specs zu diesem Waffensystem. (Die abgebildeten Zeichnungen sind von mir).
…Doch unter dieser Plane verbarg sich ihr Geheimnis. Die Waffenanlage. Zwei Rohrpakete mit je 18 Rohren! Am hinteren Ende zwischen beiden Rohrpaketen befand sich der einklappbare Sitz des Richtkanoniers mit der Richt- und Zieleinrichtung.
…Zweimal 18, also 36 Stück 110 mm – Raketen Fassungsvermögen pro Werfer. Diese 36 Raketen sollten in 18 Sekunden abgefeuert werden! Die Batterie verfügte über acht solcher Werfer – das wären 288 Raketen in 18 Sekunden! Was würde das wohl für eine Wirkung sein?! Man konnte es sich nicht vorstellen. Das wollte man auch gar nicht!
…Da war der sogenannte ’Splitterkopf’, eine der sechs möglichen, zu verschießenden Raketenkopfarten, der anhand eines in der Mitte durchgetrennten Exemplares demonstriert wurde. In diesem Kopf befanden sich neben einer Sprengladung 5.800 Stahlkugeln, die sich nach einer Detonation des Raketenkopfes in einer mit dem REPAG zu programmierenden Höhe über dem Erdboden gleichmäßig nach unten verteilen sollten. Die Geschwindigkeit dieser sich ausbreitenden Kugeln sollte sogar höher sein als die eines Gewehrgeschosses!
…5.800 Kugeln in einem Raketenkopf Jeder Werfer konnte 36 Raketen verschießen. Das wären 208.800 Kugeln! Und die Batterie hatte 8 Werfer. Das wären dann insgesamt 1.670.400 Kugeln! Und das in 18 Sekunden!
…Nun war klar, womit sie es hier zutun hatten! Einerseits war es Respekt vor einer solchen, bis dahin Konventionelles in den Schatten stellende Wirkungsweise. Anderseits deren tatsächliche Wirkung. Was passiert da mit den Infanteristen, die man mit dieser Waffe bekämpfen will? Sie hätten nicht einmal den Hauch einer Chance! Jeder von ihnen wäre ein Sieb! Ein Fortlaufen gäbe es hierbei nicht mehr … Aussichtlos!
…Du hast ja als Soldat deine Pflicht getan und brav deine Befehle ausgeführt – das Denken erledigen ja schließlich militärische Kompetenzen für dich! Was interessieren dich denn diese menschlichen Trümmer? Was hast du schon davon? Irgend so ein beknackter Orden an deiner Uniform ist doch viel schöner und unvergleichlich ästhetischer .
…Es ist doch völlig egal, ob du Kinder abschießt oder andere.“ Sammy’s Blicke hingen an der Zimmerdecke. „Der Krieg legalisiert alles. Die Opfer sind Unschuldige, Unbeteiligte, die nicht gefragt werden. Sie wurden mobilisiert, angeheizt und schließlich verheizt! Wer fragt schon danach, wenn die Idelogie als lebensbestimmendes Element von Anfang an so eingeprägt wird, dass es einfach unverantwortlich ist, dagegen zu reden. Du wirst ja nicht zur Menschlichkeit beim Militär erzogen, sondern zum Gegenteil! Wenn dann jemand sagt, dass das Unsinn ist, dann muss ich ihm die Frage stellen ‚Hälst du Töten nicht für unsinnig und brutal?’ Die Frage wäre dann auf das Geistesniveau des Gefragten abgestimmt. Peter hat jedenfalls recht. Wir leben in einer rosaschwarzen Welt. Wir haben alle „unsere Alltagsprobleme, die uns kaum Zeit zum tieferen Denken lassen. Hier haben wir Zeit! Ich habe so den Eindruck, dass die Leute gar nicht in Frieden miteinander leben wollen. Den Hungernden in dieser Welt nur zum Schein helfen und militante Aktionen sind wahrscheinlich die besten Mittel gegen die drohende Bevölkerungsexplosion. Diese unglaublich sadistischen Spiele mit dem Menschenleben! Der Mensch will so fortschrittlich und natürlich intelligent sein und doch lernt er seine größten Schwächen nicht zu besiegen. Die Kontraste dieser Welt sind zu groß! Um sie aufzuheben, müsste der Mensch all das, wofür er heute noch kämpft, bedingungslos aufgeben. Seinen Vaterlandsstolz, seinen Egoismus, seine Ideologien, seine widerliche Macht- und Geltungssucht und auch seinen Neid auf andere – das heißt in der Konsequenz : sich selber!

The media show us in the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, the absolute insanity of the present, multiple rocket launchers that probably more or less purposefully ‚lay waste‘ to residential areas and infrastructure in Ukraine. So the effect is known, only … what is a multiple rocket launcher? Exactly 50 years ago I was in the German military (called Bundeswehr) and was trained on the system Lars, multiple rocket launcher 110 SF, and was finally launcher commander. As such, I pressed the red ‚firehead‘ a few times during practice firings on a military training area with the weapon system. I have never forgotten this impression for the rest of my life. The idea of what would be done to the target area was pure theory at the time. 4 years later I underwent an official procedure for conscientious objection with the result of ‚recognition‘. Thus I was and am a ’state-approved pacifist‘.
The impressions and experiences of my military service then led to my autobiographical novel „Thoughts are Free…“ . From this novel I quote in the following some specs to this weapon system. (The drawings shown are mine).
…But under this tarp hid their secret. The weapon system. Two tube packs with 18 tubes each! At the rear end between the two tube packs was the retractable seat of the gunner with the aiming and targeting device.
…Twice 18, so 36 pieces 110 mm – rockets capacity per launcher. These 36 rockets were to be fired in 18 seconds! The battery had eight such launchers – that would be 288 rockets in 18 seconds! What kind of effect would that be! One could not imagine it. One did not want that at all!
…There was the so-called ’splinter head‘, one of the six possible types of rocket head to be fired, which was demonstrated by means of a specimen cut in half. In addition to an explosive charge, this head contained 5,800 steel balls which, after detonation of the rocket head, were to spread evenly downward above the ground at a height to be programmed with the REPAG. The velocity of these spreading balls was to be even higher than that of a rifle bullet!

If then somebody says that this is nonsense, then I must ask him the question ‚Don’t you think killing is nonsensical and brutal?‘ The question would then be tailored to the level of mind of the person being asked. In any case, Peter is right. We live in a pink and black world. We all have „our everyday problems, which hardly leave us time for deeper thinking. Here we have time! I have so the impression that the people do not want to live at all in peace with one another. Helping the hungry in this world only for appearance and militant actions are probably the best means against the threatening population explosion. These unbelievably sadistic games with the human life! Man wants to be so advanced and naturally intelligent and yet he does not learn to conquer his greatest weaknesses. The contrasts of this world are too big! In order to cancel them, man would have to give up unconditionally all that he still fights for today. His pride of fatherland, his egoism, his ideologies, his disgusting desire for power and recognition and also his envy of others – that means in consequence : himself!

What Putin has wrought in Ukraine is the manifestation of the diabolical from the lowest motives. He has no idea what might await him at the latest after his physical demise. However, he must be called to account during the rest of his life in the sense of the rule of law, which does not descend to his level.
The Great Gig in the Sky (Der große Auftritt im Himmel), ein Stück des Albums ‚The Dark Side of the Moon‘ der Rockband Pink Floyd, war seinerzeit und noch darüber hinaus nicht der von mir favorisierte Teil des Albums. Es zieht sich lang hin und ist bis auf den Anfang und das Ende ohne Text. Getragen wird das Stück von der Sängerin und Mitautorin Clare Torry. Ihr Stimmumfang ist unglaublich. Ich habe recht lange gebraucht, den Zugang dazu zu finden.
Der Text am Anfang des Stückes : “And I am not frightened of dying. Any time will do; I don’t mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There’s no reason for it — you’ve gotta go sometime.” (auf deutsch: „Und ich habe keine Angst vorm Sterben. Jederzeit ist recht, es ist mir egal. Warum sollte ich mich vorm Sterben fürchten? Es gibt keinen Grund dafür – irgendwann musst du ja gehen“). Hinzu kommt der Klavierteil Richard Wrights.
Der Text am Ende des Stückes: “I never said I was frightened of dying.” („Ich habe nie gesagt, dass ich Angst vorm Sterben habe.“ Hinzu kommt der Klavierteil Richard Wrights.
Keine Frage – hier geht es um den Tod. Die gesamte Darbietung erscheint euphemistisch wie das ‚Pfeifen im Walde‘. Eine Entmystifizierung? Bei dem ’schwersten aller Themen‘ kann keine Entzauberung oder simple Verharmlosung gelingen – es ist das finale physische Komplettdesaster. Nur – wenn das alles nichts am Faktum ändert, dann ist der Umgang mit der Angst davor also ein lupenreines Gefühlsgewitter, dessen Intensität in eine ausweglose Akzeptanz führen sollte, sofern man nicht verzweifeln will. Letztlich wird deutlich, dass Menschen doch ‚Etwas‘ unterlegen sind, von dem sie nicht den Ansatz einer -wie auch immer- Vorstellung haben … Religionen und Philosophien zum Trotze.

No question – this is about death. The whole performance seems euphemistic like ‚whistling in the woods‘. A demystification? With the ‚heaviest topic of all‘ no demystification or simple trivialization can succeed – it is the final physical complete disaster. Only – if all this does not change the fact, then dealing with the fear of it is thus a flawless emotional storm, the intensity of which should lead to a hopeless acceptance, unless one wants to despair. In the end it becomes clear that people are nevertheless subject to ’something‘ of which they do not have the rudiment of a -however- idea … Religions and philosophies notwithstanding.
Obwohl ich diesen Leserbrief im Mindener Tageblatt im Jahre 2005 schrieb, macht mich nicht das Thema, sondern meine damalige Wort- und Argumentationswahl heute noch zufrieden. Warum das jetzt alles wieder hochkochen? Mit Entsetzen nehme ich heute zur Kenntnis, dass die Jagd zunehmend von Frauen ausgeübt wird. Eine solche Entwicklung habe ich damals nicht für realistisch gehalten. Nicht, weil ich ihnen das nicht zugetraut hatte, sondern weil es -nach meiner Ansicht- ein Widerspruch insich ist. Einerseits gebären sie und andererseits töten sie – jedenfalls die, die jagen. Ein Abstumpfungsprozess? Jedenfalls eine Metapher.
Liegt es an meinem Alter? Was für ein Irrsinn … diese Jagd- nach wie vor! Einerseits kämpfen Menschen (z.B.Ärzte) um Menschenleben – wie in meinem Fall vor einem Jahr –, andererseits vernichten sie es. Ob Mensch oder Tier – obwohl der Mensch natürlich evolutionär als Tier gilt und damit kein existenzieller Unterschied besteht. Die Geschichte der Menschheit beweist, in welche Abgründe eine solche Kaltschnäuzigkeit führt – zum finalen Komplettdesaster. Exakt das treibt aktuell wieder seine Blüten. Im Kleinen wie im Großen. Schwer vorstellbar, dass die Menschheit auf dem Niveau einen nächsten Evolutionssprung vollziehen kann. Einen, der absolut nötig ist bei der prinzipiellen Intelligenz und dem bereits vorhandenen z.B. technischen Entwicklungsstand.. Das notwendige ‚Treibmittel‘ ist die Reduzierung oder bestenfalls Beseitigung des Aggressionspotenzials – wieder im Kleinen wie im Großen. Da schließt sich der Kreis der offensichtlichen Illusionen…

Beim Lesen des genannten Artikels ist mir – wie kann es anders sein – das deutsche Liedgut eingefallen, das vom Jäger singt, der sein Wild daher schießt, gleich wie es ihm gefällt. Der Waidmann als ehrbarer Zunftenträger – so hat er sich schon immer angesellt. Mit Gästen aus Kommunal- und auch Bundespolitik. Die Rede ist vom tierschutzgerechten Erlegen des Wildes, von erforderlichen Schießständen und deren guter Belegung durch Jäger, dem Ausbau der Stände, die sehr wichtig seien, von Streckenergebnissen, Gehörnschau und so weiter.
Worum geht’s ? Auf den Punkt gebracht um nichts anderes als legalisierten Tiermord im lodengrünen Mantel – aus der Geschichte heraus mit Hege und Pflege der Population des Freiwildes gerechtfertigt und sogar von ‚Moralinstitutionen’ wie z.B. der katholischen Kirche, ‚abgesegnet’ ist. Die Individualdominanz von Menschen über Tiere als bedingungslos verfügbare Untertanen, als Dinge, die rechtskräftig ‚zur Strecke’ gebracht werden dürfen, ja in den Augen der Menschen, die das tun, aus genannter Argumentation heraus sogar müssen. Rechtfertigungen für so ein Verhalten zeugen schon von einem recht ‚abgekochten Seelenleben’. Ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken und dann mit stolzgeschwellter Brust hinter oder neben in Reihe(n) gelegten, vorsätzlich und ‚tierschutzgerecht’ getöteten Tierkörpern ( Strecke ) nach getanem Waidwerk zu posieren, ist nach meinem ethischen Empfinden eine eiskalte Ignoranz des Schöpfers der Tier- und auch der Menschenwelt. (Das wäre ein realistisches Foto gewesen.) Wen wundert es da, dass Tiermörder sich auf moralisch sicherer Seite wähnen, wenn menschliche Autoritäten und Instanzen wie z.B. Papst Johannes Paul II. sogar die Vivisektion (Tierversuche) ‚humankonform’ interpretieren.
Genau da liegt der Grund für den alten Grabenkampf zwischen vertretbarem Tierschutz im wörtlichen und lebensbejahenden Sinne und dessen zurechtgekneteter Auslegung der Befürworter des Rechts auf das Töten unbeseelter Dinge. Und damit sind Tiere gemeint. Da Töten auch Entseelen bedeutet bzw. zur Folge hat, sind Tiere also Lebewesen und keine Dinge. Solange dieses ‚Berserkertum’ der Tierwelt gegenüber weitergeht, wird diesem Planeten eine Befriedung mit eiskaltem Kalkül vorenthalten. Denn wo bewusst getötet wird, da folgt seelische Verrohung, deren enthemmende Auswüchse sich im Verhalten der Menschen untereinander bereits auf der ersten Zeitungsseite wieder finden. Da schließen sich die Kreise, und da muss neu angesetzt werden, wenn die Dominanz und in dessen Schlepptau die Ignoranz schwächeren Existenzen gegenüber, völlig egal ob Tier oder Mensch, verschwinden oder zumindest abnehmen soll. Offensichtlich wird das nur einigermaßen funktionieren, wenn die richterliche Gewalt eines guten Tages ein Urteil ‚verbellt’, das den Tiermord in der Kategorie Menschenmord ansiedelt. Dann finden solche Hauptversammlungen folgerichtig mit friedlicheren Themen und ohne ‚Schmauchspuren’ statt.

Although I wrote this letter to the editor in the Mindener Tageblatt in 2005, it is not the topic but my choice of words and arguments at the time that still makes me happy today. Why bring it all back to the boil now? Today I note with horror that hunting is increasingly being practiced by women. At the time, I did not consider such a development to be realistic. Not because I didn’t think they could do it, but because – in my opinion – it is a contradiction in terms. On the one hand they give birth and on the other hand they kill – at least those who hunt. A process of deadening? In any case a metaphor…
Is it because of my age? What a madness … this hunt – still! On the one hand people (e.g. doctors) fight for human life – as in my case one year ago -, on the other hand they destroy it. Whether human or animal – although the human being is naturally evolutionary as animal and thus no existential difference exists. The history of mankind proves into which abysses such callousness leads – to the final complete disaster. Exactly this is currently blooming again. Both on a small and a large scale. It is hard to imagine that humanity can make the next evolutionary leap at this level. One, which is absolutely necessary with the principal intelligence and the already existing e.g. technical development level. The necessary ‚propellant‘ is the reduction or at best elimination of the aggression potential – again in the small as in the large. There the circle of the obvious illusions closes….

While reading the above-mentioned article, I remembered – how could it be otherwise – the German song that sings about the hunter who shoots his game just as he pleases. The hunter as an honorable guild bearer – that’s how he has always associated himself. With guests from local and also federal politics. The speech is from the animal protection-fair killing of the game, from necessary shooting ranges and their good occupancy by hunters, the development of the stands, which are very important, from distance results, hearing show and so on.
What is it about ? To the point about nothing else than legalized animal murder in the loden green coat – justified out of the history with Hege and care of the population of the free game and even by ‚moral institutions‘ like e.g. the Catholic church, is ‚blessed‘. The individual dominance of humans over animals as unconditionally available subjects, as things that may be legally ‚hunted down‘, even must be in the eyes of the people who do this, out of said reasoning. Justifications for such a behavior already testify to a quite ‚boiled off soul life‘. Without batting an eye and then to pose with proudly swollen chest behind or beside in row(s) put, deliberately and ‚animal protection-fairly‘ killed animal bodies ( distance ) after done Waidwerk, is after my ethical feeling an ice-cold ignorance of the creator of the animal and also the human world. (That would have been a realistic photo.) Who is surprised there that animal murderers imagine themselves on morally safe side if human authorities and instances like e.g. Pope John Paul II. even interpret the vivisection (animal experiments) ‚human-conform‘.
Exactly there lies the reason for the old trench warfare between justifiable animal protection in the literal and life-affirming sense and its rightly kneaded interpretation of the proponents of the right to kill inanimate things. And with it animals are meant. Since killing also means or results in deseouling, animals are therefore living beings and not things. As long as this ‚Berserkertum‘ continues opposite the animal world, a pacification is withheld from this planet with ice-cold calculation. Because where consciously is killed, there follows mental brutalization, whose disinhibiting excesses are found in the behavior of humans among themselves already on the first newspaper page again. There the circles close, and there must be started again, if the dominance and in its tow the ignorance weaker existences opposite, completely all the same whether animal or humans, are to disappear or at least decrease. Obviously this will function only to some extent, if the judicial force one good day a judgement ‚barks‘, which settles the animal murder in the category human murder. Then such general assemblies will take place logically with more peaceful topics and without ‚gunshot marks‘.

Dieser Blog wird nicht –wie am 09.Oktober 2022 hier angekündigt– zum Ende November 2022 geschlossen. Zur Zeit der Ankündigung sah es gesundheitlich recht übel aus. Erstaunlicherweise fand ich aus dem ‚Jammertal‘ der Folgen des schweren Herzinfarktes mit Not-OP im Dezember ’21 wieder heraus. (Coming back to life).
In jüngeren Jahren kam ich ohne Medikamente und dann später mit weniger Medikamenten aus – heute bin ich eine Zweigstelle der Pharmaindustrie und sehe mit dem senkrechten ‚Andenken‘ auf meiner Brust aus wie Frankensteins Gesellenstück. –
Um es kurz zu machen:: Wie eingangs geschrieben, halte ich diesen Blog offen. Sollte es für mich nicht so laufen, wie erhofft, dann wird mein Sohn (mit denselben Initialen) ihn weiterführen.
Dazu noch ein passendes Zitat:

This blog will not -as announced here on 09.October 2022- be closed at the end of November 2022. At the time of the announcement it looked quite bad healthwise. Amazingly, I found out of the ‚vale of tears‘ of the consequences of the severe heart attack with emergency surgery in December ’21 again. (Coming back to life)
In younger years I got by without medication and then later with less medication – today I am a branch of the pharmaceutical industry and look like Frankenstein’s journeyman with the vertical ’souvenir‘ on my chest. –
To make a long story short: As written at the beginning, I keep this blog open. Should it not go as hoped for me, then my son (with the same Initials) will continue it.

Alles hat einmal ein Ende. Auch dieser Blog. Aus schwerwiegend gesundheitlichen Gründen plane ich, diesen Blog zum 30.11.2022 zu schließen. Den gesamten Inhalt gebe ich frei, sodass alles hier bis dahin (bei Bedarf) frei downloadbar ist. Das sind bis jetzt immerhin 519 teils lange Posts in unterschiedlichen Kategorien. Richtig: Da steckt viel Arbeit drin… und ebenso richtig ist, dass Arbeit dann zum Vergnügen wird, wenn sie zielgerichtet oder einfach nur erfüllend ist. Das war sie für mich… Comeback? Everything has an end. Also this blog. For serious health reasons, I plan to close this blog on 30.11.2022. The entire content I release, so that everything here until then (if needed) is freely downloadable. So far there are 519 partly long posts in different categories. True: There is a lot of work involved… and it is equally true that work becomes a pleasure when it is purposeful or simply fulfilling. That’s what it was for me… comeback? Unlikely…

Blackberry Passport black
Der oder das Blackberry Passport war und ist weiterhin ein Sonderling der Extraklasse. Allerdings nichts für die vorher genannte 16:9 – Klientel weltweit, deren Schwerpunkt auf Konsum und nicht auf Produktivität zu liegen scheint – oder besser liegt. Immer wieder lege ich mein iPhone zur Seite und lasse mein Passport zum ‚Daily Driver‘ werden. Genau dann wird klar, mit welchem Klimbim man sich bei den aktuellen Smartphones beschäftigt. Wie lange hat es gedauert, bis ich eine für mich akzeptable Ordnerstruktur auf dem iPhone zustande brachte… will ich gar nicht mehr wissen. Beim Passport habe ich das Gefühl, es mit einem kleinen Desktop-Rechner zutun zu haben – mit der Vertrautheit einer entsprechenden Ordnerstruktur. Ich arbeite viel mit Tabellenkalkulationen, die auf dem breiten Passport-Screen bestens zur Geltung kommen. Texte (wie diesen) mit der psysischen, kapazitiven Tastatur zu schreiben, ist ein Vergnügen. Es gibt doch auf diesem Planeten sicherlich und zweifelsfrei genügend Menschen, die die Weiterentwicklung eines solchen Gerätes mit einem Kauf belohnen würden und damit einen echten Digitalen Assistenten ohne den aktuellen Firlefanz hätten. Für mich ist das BB-Passport trotz seines Alters ein echter PDA (Personal Digital Assistent), der die Bezeichnung auch verdient. Mich würde es nicht wundern, wenn das/der Blackberry Passport eines Tages im MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) erscheint – zurecht.

The smartest version of smartphone hardware and operating system disappears: Quadatic with psysical keyboard. This is not for ‚clicky-bunty‘ feature hipsters. But: Who likes to write on a glass plate?
The Blackberry Passport was and still is a special device in a class of its own. However, nothing for the aforementioned 16:9 clientele worldwide, whose focus seems to be on consumption and not on productivity – or better. Every now and then, I put my iPhone aside and let my Passport become the ‚daily driver‘. It’s exactly then that it becomes clear what kind of clunky stuff you’re dealing with when it comes to current smartphones. How long did it take until I managed to create a folder structure on the iPhone that was acceptable to me… I don’t even want to know anymore. With the Passport, I feel like I’m dealing with a small desktop computer – with the familiarity of an appropriate folder structure. I work a lot with spreadsheets, which look great on the wide Passport screen. Writing texts (like this one) with the psysical, capacitive keyboard is a pleasure. There are surely and without a doubt enough people on this planet who would reward the further development of such a device with a purchase and thus have a real digital assistant without the current frippery. For me, despite its age, the BB Passport is a real PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) that also deserves the designation. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Blackberry Passport appears in the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) one day – and rightly so.

Hier übernehme ich den Text von Amnesty International, der sich mit der Gesichtserkennungstechnologie beschäftigt und zu einem markanten, realistischen Ergebnis führt – das den Techunternehmen sicherlich nicht gefallen wird. Gibt es noch moderne Smartphones ohne Gesichtserkennung ? Ja, die gibt es! Beispiel iPhone SE mit Homebutton. Ich z.B. lasse nicht ab von meinen beiden Blackberry Passports, deren Betriebssysthem vom Hersteller gecancelt wurde. Warum die Gesichtserkennungstechnologie verboten werden sollte, wird in dem folgenden Text von Amnesty International, sehr deutlich dargestellt: (Ich beziehe das mal auf Smartphones/ Tablets etc.. Die gesamtgesellschaftliche Problematik ist entsprechend folgenschwerer – zeigt aber eine Korrelation!)
Mit der Kampagne #UnscanMyFace setzt sich Amnesty International für ein Verbot der Herstellung, des Einsatzes und Exports von Gesichtserkennungstechnologie in Deutschland, der EU und weltweit ein.

5 Gründe für ein Verbot von Gesichtserkennungstechnologie
1. Massenüberwachung im öffentlichen Raum wird ermöglicht
Gesichtserkennungstechnologie kann die Handlungen von allen im öffentlichen Raum ganz genau nachverfolgen, z. B. wo, wann und mit wem sich eine Person aufhält. So verschwindet einer der letzten, anonymen Rückzugsorte. Eine Massenüberwachung aller Menschen ist weder angemessen noch verhältnismäßig.
2. Recht auf Privatsphäre und die Menschenwürde werden verletzt
In mehr und mehr Ländern werden die Gesichter von Menschen in öffentlichen Räumen identifiziert und ihre Bewegungen verfolgt. Unternehmen sammeln ohne Erlaubnis tausende Fotos aus sozialen Netzwerken oder nutzen Gesichtserkennung für Werbezwecke. Handlungen werden im Detail erfasst und Menschen auf Datenpunkte reduziert.
3. Recht auf Protest und freie Meinungsäußerung werden verletzt
Wer befürchten muss, auf einer Demonstration identifiziert zu werden, nimmt möglicherweise nicht daran teil. Durch das Wissen, ständig überwacht zu werden, scheuen sich viele Menschen davor, ihre Menschenrechte auszuüben. Das gilt verstärkt für Menschen, die ohnehin von Ausgrenzung und Diskriminierung betroffen sind.
4. Diskriminierungen werden verstärkt
Bei Schwarzen Menschen und People of Colour sowie Frauen und Kindern ist Gesichtserkennung besonders fehlerhaft. Negative Folgen wie Falschverdächtigungen treffen also Menschen besonders hart, die ohnehin Benachteiligungen erfahren. Selbst wenn die Technologie fehlerfrei funktionieren würde: Gesichtserkennung wird verstärkt für die Überwachung bereits marginalisierter Gruppen eingesetzt und verschärft so bestehende Ungerechtigkeiten und Diskriminierungsformen wie Rassismus, Sexismus und Klassismus.
5. Es gibt keinen demokratischen Rückhalt für Gesichtserkennungstechnologien
Der Einsatz von Gesichtserkennungstechnologie ist nicht demokratisch legitimiert und wird trotzdem stückchenweise eingeführt. Datenschutzbehörden und Expert*innen aus ganz Europa warnen: Der derzeitige Einsatz ist sogar illegal.
In Deutschland ist kaum bekannt, welche Probleme mit Gesichtserkennungstechnologie verbunden sind. Dabei gibt es zahlreiche Organisationen und Initiativen wie „Gesichtserkennung stoppen„, die schon lange auf die Gefahren hinweisen. Solche Initiativen, aber auch dein Einsatz, sind wichtiger denn je! Gerade jetzt wird in der EU eine wichtige Entscheidung getroffen, die auch Auswirkungen auf die Situation in Deutschland hat. In einer neuen Verordnung über Künstliche Intelligenz hat die EU die Möglichkeit, den Einsatz von Gesichtserkennung gänzlich zu verbieten. In wenigen Monaten wird diese wichtige Entscheidung gefällt, weshalb Politiker*innen jetzt erfahren müssen: wir behalten unser Gesicht!

Are there still modern smartphones without facial recognition ? Yes, there are! Take the iPhone SE with home button, for example. I, for example, do not let go of my two Blackberry Passports, whose operating system was canceled by the manufacturer. Why facial recognition technology should be banned is explained very clearly in the following text from Amnesty International. (I relate this to smartphones/tablets etc.. The overall social problem is correspondingly more serious – but shows a correlation).

mass surveillance in public space is enabled
Facial recognition technology can track the actions of everyone in public spaces very precisely, such as where, when and with whom a person is. Thus, one of the last, anonymous places of retreat is disappearing. Mass surveillance of all people is neither appropriate nor proportionate.

In more and more countries, people’s faces are identified in public spaces and their movements are tracked. Negative consequences such as false suspicions thus hit people particularly hard who already experience disadvantages. Even if the technology worked flawlessly, facial recognition is increasingly used to monitor already marginalized groups, exacerbating existing injustices and forms of discrimination such as racism, sexism and classism.

The use of facial recognition technology lacks democratic legitimacy and yet is being introduced piecemeal. Data protection authorities and experts from all over Europe warn: the current use is even illegal.
In Germany, the problems associated with facial recognition technology are hardly known. Yet there are numerous organizations and initiatives such as „Stop facial recognition“ that have been pointing out the dangers for a long time. Such initiatives, but also your commitment, are more important than ever! Right now, an important decision is being made in the EU that will also have an impact on the situation in Germany. In a new regulation on artificial intelligence, the EU has the option to ban the use of facial recognition altogether. In a few months, this important decision will be made, which is why politicians must now learn: we keep our face!

James Coddington was executed on August 25 in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. He had been sentenced to death for the 1997 murder of a friend. Earlier, the Oklahoma Board of Pardons and Paroles had recommended to the governor that the death sentence be commuted – unsuccessfully.
