Dr. Julia Duchrow

WebviewHello Joachim, today is Human Rights Day and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is 75 years old!
It is the foundation of Amnesty International’s work. Together with you, we are working to ensure that all people can actually enjoy the rights set out in it.
Human rights allow us to be human. To move freely. Not to be subjected to arbitrariness or violence. To decide for ourselves what we believe in, who we love and what we think. To express ourselves freely – or to keep something to ourselves.
Iranian human rights defender Narges Mohammadi has also courageously stood up for her convictions. She has repeatedly stood up for women’s and human rights in Iran. She was imprisoned and tortured for this.
Are you now taking action and demanding her immediate release? YES, I DEMAND: RELEASE NARGES MOHAMMADI IMMEDIATELY! Today, Narges was supposed to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo. But she is in prison and her health is very poor. She is being deliberately denied the medical care she urgently needs. In this way, she is being forced to wear a headscarf.
Narges Mohammadi has supported the „Woman, Life, Freedom“ movement, campaigned for families whose relatives were killed by security forces during the protests and exposed sexualized violence against women in prison.
Are you standing up for Narges now?
