Der Lennon-Song aus der Zeit des Vietnamkrieges ist die Vision von einer ‚Welt‘ ohne Gewalt, Religion und abhängig machendes, demagogisches Blendwerk, das Menschen nach wie vor anzieht und dem sie ‚blind‘ folgen, weil es ihnen als wichtig und richtig vorgegaukelt wird. Wer so denkt, wird als Träumer und damit als realitätsfern verunglimpft – als jemand, der die Realismen negiert. Oder gar als Kommunist… (...es gäbe keinen Besitz mehr).

Keine Religion…(das ewige Spiel mit der Angst und dem erhobenen Zeigefinger ). Himmel und Hölle… (blanker Unsinn… weil: Ein allmächtiger Gott oder besser: eine adäquate ‚Macht‘ ihre Schöpfung nicht der Krankheit und Sterblichkeit aussetzen würde, weil das die Allmächtigkeit ad absurdum führen würde). Ist das Träumerei oder Logik?

Imagine ist speziell in der Istzeit ein Song mit einem Text, der weiterhin Wunschdenken bleiben wird, weil er zu anspruchsvoll für eine realisierbare ‚Weltordnung‘ ist. Ein musikalisches Denkmal und eine Anklage an die menschliche Ignoranz und Dummheit.

Imagine is especially in the actual time a song with a text which will remain wishful thinking because it is too demanding for a realizable ‚world order‘. A musical monument and an indictment of human ignorance and stupidity.
