Was dieser Mann vorhat/te, war irgendwie nebulös. Erst das Sammeln von email-Adressen seiner Kommilitonen, dann Facebook, die Intergration von WhatsApp (WA), Instagram usw.. Als US-Präsidentschaftskandidat war er auch schon im Gepsräch. Es entstand ein Konzern, der zunehmend als Datenkrake wahrgenommen werden konnte. Nebulös ist er wohl immer noch, doch … alles unter dem Facebook-Dach, so sagt er sinngemäß, ist nicht mehr aussagekräftig und zutreffend. Also …

Meta (gr.: jenseits, hinter, außerhalb der Grenzen) ist der bedeutungsintensive Name der Konstruktion, unter der sich Zuckerbergs einzelne Sparten nun anordnen. Vorbild scheint Alphabet mit Google zu sein (oder umgekehrt). Für ihn der Versuch, einen Abwehrmechanismus gegen die angedachte Zerschlagung oder teilweise Rückabwicklung seines Konzerns aufzubauen. Das Metasymbol ∞ bedeutet ‚unendlich‘ …

Mit der Metaverse genannten virtuellen Welt, in die Jede und Jeder als Avatar eingreifen und agieren kann, werden Datenmengen- und Intensitäten erzeugt, gegen die Facebook noch wie ein Anfangsprojekt wirkt. Derart gestaltbare Traumwelten mit Suchtfaktor werden Profitmöglichkeiten der nicht absehbaren Art generieren, die nicht mehr -wie auch immer- beherrschbar sein können und wohl auch werden. Und das in Zuckerbergs Händen. Wie das Konzernwort ‚Meta‘ sinngebend aussagt, wird man sich außerhalb der Grenzen bewegen. Ein Mann, der eine zeitlang nur ‚Produkte‘ von Tieren aß, die er selber getötet hat, in einer solchen Machtposition, gegen die Facebook ein ‚Schnips‘ ist? Wenn das Metaverse aus dem Ruder läuft wie Facebook, dann sind der Phantasie in die negative Richtung keine Grenzen mehr gesetzt.

Jede und Jeder kann beitragen, das zu verhindern oder zumindest einzudämmen, indem Alternativen gesucht und gefunden werden. Statt WhatsApp Signal, Ginlo oder Threema usw.. Ich nutze konkret Ginlo private als Messenger. Meinen Facebook-Account habe ich bereits vor mehr als vier Jahren gelöscht. Überzeugt bin ich nicht davon, dass meine Metadaten gelöscht wurden, kann das aber nicht beweisen. Was ist das schon gegen das, was da aufgebaut wird? Zumindest ein Einzelbeitrag gegen glatte Profitgier auf Kosten der Nutzer. Das ist eine (meine) subjektive Meinung. Nun sind staatliche Institutionen im rechtlichen Rahmen gefragt, Meta zu beobachten und gegebenenfalls zu reagieren – Grenzen zu setzen! ‚Wehret den Anfängen‘ oder besser : Wehret ein ‚Weiter-so‘ ! –

Everyone can help to prevent or at least curb this by looking for and finding alternatives. Instead of WhatsApp Signal, Ginlo or Threema etc.. I specifically use Ginlo private as a messenger. I deleted my Facebook account more than four years ago. Convinced I am not that my metadata was deleted, but can not prove it. What’s that against what’s being built up? At least a single contribution against outright profiteering at the expense of users. That is a (my) subjective opinion.
