Kapazitive Tastatur von Apple ?

Apple will ein ‚uraltes‘ Patent neu erfinden und hat es als Patent angemeldet. Klingt nicht nur komisch – ist es aber. Das gehört wohl zur Philosophie des Unternehmens aus Cupertino (dessen Produkte in seit 1995 benutze), denn genau damit fing es eigentlich an, z.B. mit der Maus, die nicht Apples Erfindung war, sondern eine von Xerox und noch weiter vorher, in den 60er Jahren, vom Stanford Research Institute (SRI). Jobs war clever und beschuldigte später Gates, dass dieser Windows von MacOS abgekupfert hat. Und so weiter… Alles Vergangenheit…

Nun lese ich von der Anmeldung eines Patentes für eine sensitive Tastatur. Das zweiteilige Bedienkonzept -Tastatur/Trackpad- bei den MacBooks soll zu einer Bedieneinheit verschmolzen werden. D.h., das die Finger nicht mehr von der Tastatur zum Trackpad -oder umgekehrt- wechseln, sondern die Tastatur das Trackpad quasi beinhalten. Wischgesten auf der Tastatur. –

Also nichts Neues! Nur – modifiziert wird es zu einer neuen Erfindung und dann zu einem neuen Patent. Nach dem Newton vergingen zehn Jahre und beim iPad dreizehn Jahre und neue Geräte wurden aktualisiert und modifiziert aus dem Hut gezaubert. Wer sollte sich da noch an den Newton erinnern? Jobs verpöhnte einen Styles und heute – gibt es den Apple-Pencil.

Bei den iPhones und iPads vermisse ich den (Blackberry-) Hub, in dem alle Informationen zusammenlaufen und entsprechend chronologisch aufgelistet werden. Die Informationszentrale schlechthin! Und natürlich die blinkenden LEDs, die eingehende Informationen signalisieren. Und natürlich – die physische Tastatur, die gleichzeitig als Trackpad funktioniert , usw. usw… Wenn das alles Schnee von gestern ist, dann stellt sich die Frage, warum das nun wieder aktuell modifiziert als ‚Neu‘ verkauft werden soll und wird.

Auf dem ‚Alten‘ aufbauen, es verbessern und weiterentwickeln ist immer richtig. Es sollte nicht so getan werden, als ob das Rad wieder neu erfunden werden müsste. Alles PR? Was sonst! –

Damit ist mein 5 Jahre altes Blackberry Passport sogar seiner Zeit voraus. Etwas gemütlicher als mein iPhone – aber geschmeidiger im Bedienkonzept mit kapazitiver Tastatur …

Auch über so einen kleinen Beitrag zur Reduzierung der Elektroschrottberge freuen sich Umwelt und Klima.

After the Newton, ten years passed and with the iPad, thirteen years passed and new devices were updated and modified. Who should remember the Newton then? Jobs frowned upon one style and today – there is the Apple pencil.

With the iPhones and iPads I miss the (Blackberry-) Hub, where all information comes together and is listed chronologically. The information center par excellence! And of course the flashing LEDs that signal incoming information. And of course – the physical keyboard, which also functions as a trackpad, etc. etc… If this is all water under the bridge, then the question arises, why should and will it be sold as ’new‘ in a modified version?

Building on the ‚old‘, improving and developing it is always right. It should not be done as if the wheel has to be reinvented. All PR? What else! –

This means that my 5 year old Blackberry Passport is even ahead of its time. Slightly more comfortable than my iPhone – but smoother in its operating concept with sensitive keyboard …

The environment and climate are also pleased about such a small contribution to reducing the mountains of electronic waste.
