Das KI-Projekt Beethoven X. Anhand von Aufzeichnungen /Notizen von Beethoven hat nun eine ‚Künstliche Intelligenz ‚ (KI) nach der Analyse der Beethoven-Werke diese Notizen ‚ausgearbeitet‘ und daraus die Synfonie Nr. 10 ‚komponiert‘. Es ist also kein verschollenes Werk des Musikgenies, sondern eine posthumane Wahrscheinlichkeit.

Dem Vernehmen nach überträgt das die Deutsche Telekom als Welturaufführung im Livestream am 09.Oktober 2021.

Die Frage, ob der Komponist damit zufrieden wäre und es als sein Werk akzeptieren würde, ist verständlicherweise nicht zu beantworten. Es ist nicht direkt zugänglich, dass Algorithmen musikalische Gefühlsausdrücke ’nachempfinden‘ und in Klänge umsetzen können, doch… ich schließe es nicht aus. Warum auch…

Algorithmen sind heutzutage fähig, dearartiges ‚logisch‘ weiter- und auszuführen. Nicht nur wissenschaftlich oder -wie z.B. in selbstfahrenden Autos- rein raktiv, der Robotik allgemein, auch bei Bewerbungen, sondern ebenso in der Kunst (Malerei) usw.. Das ist die positiv spannende Seite der KI. Als Fan der Musik Beethovens (ich mag auch Rammstein – nicht alles !) werde ich mir das sehr aufmerksam anhören und mir dabei ein Portrait Beethovens ansehen. Was der wohl dazu sagen würde…

The AI project Beethoven X. As a fan of Beethoven’s music (I also like Rammstein – not everything !) I will listen to this very attentively and look at a portrait of Beethoven. I wonder what he would say about that…

Die B-Seite der LP ‚Meddle‘ der britischen RockGruppe Pink Floyd aus dem Jahr 1971 wird von dem Stück ‚Echoes‘ ganz belegt. Ein Stück, das mich seinerzeit komplett umgehauen hat – eigentlich immer noch, obwohl ich es sicherlich schon zweihundert Mal gehört habe und der Eindruck immer noch vergleichbar ist. Das Cover löste ein Rätselraten aus. In meinem Plattenladen sagte ich sinngemäß nach mehrmaligem Drehen des Covers: ‚Das ist der Teil eines Ohres mit Gehörgang‘, worauf ich bei nächsten Kauf einen Preisnachlass bekam. In einem Onlinestore ist das ‚wohl‘ nicht mehr möglich…

Ich halte ‚Echoes‘ mit dem markanten Roger Waters-Bass, Rick Wrights Keyboard und sanfter Stimme, Nick Masons krasse Drums, David Gilmours Gesang und Experimental-Gitarre, die elektronischen Echo-Effekte und insgesamt für einen Meilenstein der Rockmusik. Mit guten Kopfhörern in einem abgedunkelten Raum – Wahnsinn… Die ‚Atom Heart Mother‘ war das erste Album der ‚Floyds‘, bei dem ich aus dem Staunen nicht mehr ‚rauskam, doch bei Echoes wurde aus dem Staunen eine steigende Begeisterung, die bis heute anhält.

Ist das Nostalgie, die einen gefühlten Mangel zur Jetztzeit suggerieren soll? Mag alles sein – doch… Anspruchsvolles ist zeitlos. Und das gesamte Werk von Pink Floyd ist anspruchsvoll – sehr anspruchsvoll. Alles Geschmacksache… richtig. Die Art Musik hat mich mein Leben lang begleitet und mir in so manchen Phasen mental geholfen. Ebenso wie z.B. Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven und auch Rammstein (die Sonne). Eine völlig durchwachsene Genre-Palette. Wenn der Mental Gehörtes richtig und ‚gefällig‘ einschätzt, dann ist es egal, ob es Klassik, Pop, Rock, Metal, Jazz oder sonstwas ist – dann identifiziert man sich damit dahingehend, dass man es wiederholt hören möchte und wird. ‚Echoes‘ ist ein solches Stück für mich.

Die Studio-Version auf ‚Meddle‘ wirkt natürlich (wie jede Studio-Version) perfekter und geschliffener.

The B-side of the LP ‚Meddle‘ by the British rock group Pink Floyd from 1971 is occupied entirely by the track ‚Echoes‘. I consider ‚Echoes‘ with the distinctive Roger Waters bass, Rick Wright’s keyboard and smooth voice, Nick Mason’s gritty drums, David Gilmour’s vocals and experimental guitar, the electronic echo effects and overall a milestone in rock music. With good headphones in a darkened room – insanity…. The ‚Atom Heart Mother‘ was the first album of the ‚Floyds‘ that I couldn’t get out of the amazement, but with Echoes the amazement turned into a rising enthusiasm that lasts until today.

Is this nostalgia, which is supposed to suggest a perceived lack of the present time? That may be all – but… Sophistication is timeless. And the entire work of Pink Floyd is sophisticated – very sophisticated. All a matter of taste… right. This kind of music has accompanied me all my life and helped me mentally in many a phase. Just like, for example, Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven and also Rammstein (the Sun). A completely mixed genre palette. If the mentally heard correctly and ‚pleasing‘ assesses, then it does not matter whether it is classical, pop, rock, metal, jazz or whatever – then you identify with it to the extent that you want to and will listen to it repeatedly. Echoes is such a piece for me.

The studio version on ‚Meddle‘ seems of course (like every studio version) more perfect and polished.
