Aus einer komfortablen Situation heraus einen Tanz auf der Rasierklinge aufzuführen, hat etwas mit Selbstverliebtheit, überwiegender Arroganz oder noch weiter darüberhinaus zutun. Wenn man der (zumindest annähernd) seriösen Berichterstattung glauben darf, dann hat Herr Merz seinen Plan zur Migration so vorgelegt, dass der so und nicht anders oder verändert von den anderen Parteien der Mitte zu akzeptieren sei, wie im Parlament eingebracht. Der Volksmund nennt das ‚Die Pistole auf die Brust setzen‚ oder ‚Wenn Du nicht meiner Meinung bist, dann brauchen wir nicht zu diskutieren‘. Schlimmer noch: Dann setzt man sein betoniertes Ziel mit der AfD durch, der man per Aushängeschild sogar das Existenzrecht auf Basis der deutschen Geschichte abspricht. Wer so handelt, hält sein Umfeld -in diesem Fall zumindest ganz Deutschland- nicht nur für naiv, sondern damit auch für gutgläubig und … man mag es kaum schreiben… für übertölpelbar und niederfrequent. Ein nicht nur in Deutschland bekanntes Phänomen…

Und nach der Wahl: Was macht dann die CDU/CSU, wenn dann die SPD und/oder die Grünen sagen … ok, dass sie verhandeln wollen, wenn sie damit Merz nicht zum Kanzler küren. Das Szenario ist denkbar, es sei denn, dass Herr Merz sich an die AfD anmerzelt und die Brandmauer ganz einreißt. Volkes Mund muss nicht immer nur ‚einfach‘ sein: ‚Wer einmal lügt, dem glaubt man nicht…und wenn er auch die Wahrheit spricht…!‘

Deutschland hat die Wahl…

Performing a dance on the razor’s edge from a comfortable situation has something to do with self-indulgence, overwhelming arrogance or even more. If we are to believe the (at least approximately) serious reporting, then Mr Merz has presented his plan on migration in such a way that it is to be accepted by the other centrist parties in the same way and not in any other way or with any changes, as presented in parliament. In the vernacular, this is called ‚putting the gun to your chest‘ or ‚if you don’t agree with me, we don’t need to discuss it‘. Worse still: you then enforce your concrete goal with the AfD, which you even deny the right to exist on the basis of German history with your figurehead. Anyone who acts in this way not only considers those around them – in this case at least the whole of Germany – to be naive, but also gullible and … one can hardly write it … for being duped and low frequency. A phenomenon that is not only known in Germany…

And after the election: what will the CDU/CSU do if the SPD and/or the Greens say … ok, that they want to negotiate if it means they don’t choose Merz as chancellor? This scenario is conceivable, unless Mr. Merz takes up with the AfD and tears down the firewall completely. The people’s mouth doesn’t always have to be ’simple‘: ‚If you lie once, you won’t be believed…even if you speak the truth…‘!‚

Germany has the choice…
